Rapid, Automated Scale Calibration

With the CSA™ Automated Test Stand, calibration of Intercomp scales can be accomplished in under 30 minutes per scale. When connected to the scales, the calibration software allows for control of calibration points, automated adjustments, and verification.
Steps Include:
- Connect Scale & Align Scale Under Cylinder
- Select Scale Type & Scale ID Number for Records
- Conduct ‘As Received’ Run
- If Out of Tolerance, Run Alignment
- Three Runs (30 points) After Alignment per Industry Norms
- Save Report & Remove Scale
Compared to manual calibration presses with different scales, procedures that used to take days now takes hours, and hours now take minutes. Individual scale reports are generated, and can be saved and tracked over time. This technology speeds up calibration times, automates applying the force and adjustments to the scale, and documents results on a system that is NIST traceable.
