Intercomp Earns Two Awards at 2019 PRI Show

Minneapolis – Intercomp took home two Global Media Awards from Indianapolis as part of the 2019 Performance Racing Industry (PRI) Show, held Dec. 12-14. Judges chose the company’s Digital Turn Plate and Digital Torque Wrench Tester from the more than 500 items making up the Featured Products Showcase. Representatives from motorsports and performance-vehicle media outlets from Argentina, Australia, Brazil, India, Mexico, Peru and the UK made up the eight-judge panel.
Darin Mandy, from Australia’s Velocity Magazine, selected the Digital Torque Wrench Tester as one of his 10 award-winning products. Mandy and the other judges selected items based on general appeal and potential popularity with consumers from their home country.
Intercomp’s Digital Turn Plate caught the eye of Roberto Berasategui, representing Argentina-based Carburando. He said the turn plate represented a user-friendly way to perform one of the most basic adjustments for a racecar. Berasategui also noted he made many of his selections by finding products that could be effective in several forms of motorsport.
This is the second year Global Media Awards were presented for components and tools entered in the PRI Featured Product Showcase. Aside from exposing journalists to new products, the program allows manufacturers to gauge the international appeal of select items from their entire product line.
