Intercomp Scales Selected to Support Boeing’s 787 Production

The project will support Boeing’s commercial aircraft production operations in North Charleston, South Carolina. The scales play a critical role in weight and balance verification of the aircraft prior to delivery to the customer, providing accuracy, reliability, and efficiency in aircraft manufacturing to meet airlines’ desired performance specifications.
The selection follows a competitive evaluation process in which Intercomp’s AC60-LP™ system was tested and validated in both the manufacturer’s calibration lab and in weighing operations. The system demonstrated superior performance in terms of ergonomics, capacity, repeatability and ease of integration with Boeing’s weight and balance processes.
