A Delta airplane was used to perform training on how to use Intercomp’s AC60-LP™ scales. Delta Air Lines has transitioned their weighing operations from the Jack Weigh AC100™ Kit to the AC60-LP™ Low Profile High Capacity Aircraft Scale. This acquisition reinforces Intercomp’s history as a trusted supplier of aircraft weight and balance equipment for the airline.

The AC60-LP™ scale is the most widely used of its kind for aircraft weighing, used by Boeing and Airbus, the world’s largest airlines, MRO’s, and defense contractors.

Delta viewed the AC60-LP™ as a solution that could save time and improve safety during the weigh process while providing a seamless transition since both old and new weighing systems use Intercomp strain gauge measurement technology. Delta also has an initiative to go paperless. Intercomp’s ACWeigh™ software fulfilled this request, and Intercomp’s Software Team also modified the software to provide seamless integration to their weight & balance reporting system. Lastly, they have decades of experience with Intercomp and expressed the track record of product support and customer service played an important role in their decision.

Strain gauge load cells are the most widely used measurement instrumentation for scale designs. The AC60-LP™ uses fully electronic strain gauge load cells with GaugeSense™ technology. Strain gauges are known throughout the scale industry to have the most linear output which provides unparalleled performance.

Constructed from aerospace-grade machined aluminum using fully electronic strain gauge load cells to handle heavy operational demands for portability, longevity and reliability, the AC60-LP™ is the aviation industry scale of choice for accuracy, repeatable and reliable weighing results.
