Application Note: Intercomp Quik Weigh™ System Helps Land Speed Record Team with Chassis Setup
In August of 2018, a Minnesota-based team led by Jeff Schlemmer ventured to Utah to take on the annual Speed Week at the Bonneville Salt Flats. Prior to leaving for Utah, Schlemmer’s team used Intercomp’s SW650RFX™ Quik Weigh™ Scale System and Scale Pad Levelers to ensure their Datsun 620 pickup truck was properly set up to hit speeds well over 100 mph.

Application Note: Weighing an Evolving UAV – the RQ-4 Global Hawk
With a wingspan larger than a Boeing 737, the current RQ-4 operates above 50,000 feet in excess of 30 hours for endurance. Initially developed with a payload of 2,000 pounds, later models have increased this to 3,000 pounds with a more recent integration of a UPA, or Universal Payload Adaptor. This enabled additional mission capabilities and the ability to switch payloads easily – with all the accompanying effects to weight and balance.

OIML R134 WIM Certification for Intercomp’s LS-WIM Axle Scale
Intercomp’s LS-WIM Axle Scale is now OIML R134 Certified for use in Weigh-In-Motion (WIM) applications. Already NTEP certified in the US for static mode, the OIML certified scale features a weighing capacity of 44,000 lb (20,000 kg) per axle which allows users to easily weigh heavy commercial vehicles.
